HFA was created with the purpose of marketing and training horse and rider from Western to Dressage. We achieve proven results for our clients while maintaining happy healthy horses, and catering to the individual needs of our clients and their horses. We offer a safe, relaxed environment which enables horse and rider to excel at every level.

The various styles of riding offered for study all have a common goal - the horse should be ridden forward, straight and with ease. The rider should function in such a way as to make this possible. Good horsemanship requires a balanced combination of discipline, physical coordination, quick reflexes, sharp mental skills, patience and compassion for the welfare of the horse.

In order to achieve this, sound training techniques, safety and good riding basics are the foundation for all of our riding disciplines. We want our students to achieve their riding goals, whether they are simply safe and enjoyable pleasure riding, competition or horse ownership.

HFA services Butte County, California. We offer private and semi-private lessons for children and adults in Dressage, Hunt Seat, Jumping, Western, trail, halter, and natural horsemanship for beginning through advanced level riders. Special activities include school horse shows, lectures and clinics, riding clubs, working student program and horse leasing program. For clients who submit horses in full-time training at HFA, we provides a wide range of special services from supplemental feeding to additional lessons.
